The archaeological site of Pitinum Pisaurense is located at the Medieval church of San Cassiano "in Pitino". Observing the building one can notice the numerous reutilizations of materials from Roman and Medieval buildings. On the northern side of the site, a large funerary area of the Medieval Age (XII-XIII century) was developed on a wide paved Roman street, identifiable as the Decumanus Maximus, which is still visible. In the southern part of the city one can find the remains of a thermal building where the suspensurae of the calidarium, the area dedicated to the hot bath, is still visible.
